lyrics

At 6:34am this morning a wave of pins and needles hit me as my half awake self found out that one of the greatest skeptics, leader of free inquiry and rational thought had died.

Christopher Hitchens had died after a long battle with oesophageal cancer.

As many of you know, I am quite an outspoken atheist (a 'new atheist' if that pleases you) and as such Hitch had a great hand in forcing me to think and grow mentally as a human being.
His death has shocked me, its not as if it was a massive shock but his loss will certainly leave a void.
It left me with a lot of thought and emotion and, as usual, there was only one real outlet.

I wrote this song in my bedroom as I watched the snow fall on the Welsh mountains. A very pretty sight.

This is my tribute to a great. Thank you for everything Hitch, you will be sorely missed.
